JONAS VILES AWARD

RAM HONORED WITH 2018 AWARD FOR RECORDS PRESERVATION

The Recorders Association of Missouri is honored to receive the 2018 Jonas Viles Award from the Friends of the Missouri State Archives.  This annual award recognizes contributions to the preservation of Missouri's heritage.

For Recorders, preserving documents and records is a privilege and a serious commitment to our communities and state. Our members are dedicated to conserving vital records and increasing the number of documents available electronically for ease of access.  This commitment to preserving documents was exemplified when the Carter County Courthouse flooded in 2017. Recorders stepped up to the challenge and helped recover, salvage, and preserve records.
